We feel that part of a child’s Christian education should include teaching children to reach out to others in need. For that reason, we organize a monthly mission outreach for our families. Watch here for what we are doing and how you can help. We will also tell you about the success of each mission.

Current Missions

September 2009- April 2010

• Monthly collection of canned food to benefit Central Illinois Foodbank

October 2009

• Decorated pumpkins for Bisch Funeral Home that will be donated to area Nursing Homes.

November 2009

• Collected enough food to make 11 Thanksgiving baskets for the families of Asbury Children's Supper Hour

December 2009

• Collected Christmas presents for 11 children of the Asbury Children's Supper Hour.  Each child received 3-4 presents.

March 2010

• MDA Hop-a-Thon

Completed Missions

May 2009

• Our 2nd Annual "Playing with a Purpose" raised over $4000.  All proceeds to benefit the Asbury Children's Supper Hour Playground Project.

April 2009

• Collected new clothes for The Matthew Project.  The Matthew Project distributes new clothes to homeless children attending District 186 schools.
• Collected 73 pairs of gently worn shoes for children in Haiti.

March 2009

• Raised over $1600 for Muscular Dystrophy Association by having a Hop-A-Thon.

December 2008

• Purchased Christmas presents for 15 children invovled with Asbury Children's Supper Hour.
• Raised $943 from the "Christmas Program Pew Raffle" for our Financial Aide fund.

November 2008

• We collected enough food to fill 12 Thanksgiving baskets for families involved with Asbury Children's Supper Hour.

October 2008

• We raised approximately $2200 for St. Jude's Children's Hospital through our Trike-a-thon.

September 2008

• We collected school supplies to help fill over 200 school bags for Lutheran World Relief.

April 2008

• Raised $10,000 at our first annual Playing With a Purpose to benefit one of our own preschool families who fell on hard times due to the father being involved in a serious car accident.

March 2008

• Raised $2400 for Muscular Dystrophy Association by having a Hop-A-Thon.

February 2008

• Made Valentines for area nursing homes and distributed them with Bisch Funeral Home
